Thanks for this video! I needed a little inspiration today, clicked in, and found way more than I bargained for… my cats must love your voice too, Sensei, because the whole time I was watching, they have been sitting here purring as if to say, “Nice to meet you”. LOL
I recently found myself literally “stuck” for three weeks in a certain location. I made a cushion out of my hoodie and my pillow, which gave me the opportunity to invest some free time into the practice. I was able to do several sessions of Zazen with some Kinhin between.
Your words often return to me in those troublesome times as much as they do the good times. This time around, I remember your mantra for this video- “Love your practice”. It’s a wonderful feeling to feel the love naturally arising and the sitting deepening. As with all of your messages, I love that this video is simple and straight-forward.
Coming out of my situation this time around, I feel strongly, yesterday was yesterday. It’s good to notice poor karmic habits and change them when necessary but really does very little good to invest energy into regretting the past. I love what you said about having no regrets and that your life may have “add-ons” but overall, you are very pleased with your life.
I can only hope to feel the same when I’m sixty years old. The more I see these videos, the more hopeful I am that I will combat fear and cultivate more courage.
All our love,
P.D., Msabau and Isis

Doen, thank you for this. There is no question you, the teaching, and the practice have captured my heart. I am learning to live with Heart – not always easy but certainly better living in fear. Thanks for opening my heart and my life.
